RELEASED: September 2017
RETIRED: November 2018

The takahē is a flightless--and slightly goofy--New Zealand bird. It has a loud call and is monogamous, mating for life. There are only around 300 remaining in the wild, with major threats from over-hunting, loss of habitat, and predation from invasive species. Humans are currently restoring populations through breeding programs, so things are looking up for the little takahē!

  • One 1-inch (25mm) hard enamel, made from our original illustration
  • Shiny gold metal
